SUDDENLY..... OH OK OK. FORGIVE. I JUST HAD TO.

MY GRAN HAD A KIND OF COLD ROOM WHICH STOOD OUTSIDE THE BACK DOOR - IT WAS MADE OUT OF A DOUBLE LAYER OF CHICKEN WIRE FILLED WITH CHARCOAL-LIKE NUGGETS AND STOOD ON FOUR LEGS. WATER GOT POURED OVER THOSE NUGGETS AND THEN A BREEZE WOULD KEEP IT COLD. THE GROWNUPS CALLED IT A ‘SAFE’... ‘GET US A PIECE OF KUDU BILTONG FROM THE SAFE’ THEY WOULD SAY.
